Apple Picking.

Amy, Debbie, and I went apple picking today! :) It was SO much fun. We actually went to the wrong place (my bad, not Lola's), but found the right place eventually (after we were almost done!). There weren't that many apples to pick from, so the actual apple picking was disappointing.

They also had a pumpkin patch...a real one, where you can pick them off the vine. The pumpkins were expensive and not good (which means we didn't buy any).

They also had a corn maze that we went in, and that was fun. Amy thought she was back in Indiana (there is A LOT in Indiana).

Once we finished the corn maze, we decided to go across the street to get some apple cider. That's where all the fun was (and where we were supposed to go)! They had a ton of other stuff to do, including hay rides and U-Press apple cider. The hay ride was fun and educational.

We found out how the name Snow White came to be. Walt Disney's favorite apple was an Arkansas black apple. This is the apple that is used in Snow White, and while the apples look like this on the outside:

The inside is snow white, and the name Snow White came from that. They aren't ripe until after Halloween, and I want to go back just to see the inside and taste it :) After we went on the hay ride, we did the U-Press apple cider. SO much fun!

We had such a fun day! Everything was pretty inexpensive too, I spent less than $20 and it was worth the hour plus drive :) Check out Facebook for more pics.
