Bonfire.

Amy's cousins (Beth and Aaron) are in town from Indiana, so we've been busy having lots of fun with them...including doing the Hollywood hike again, all the touristy things in LA (Pink's Hot Dogs, Hollywood & Highland Center, and Grauman's Chinese Theatre), along with Huntington Beach and Disneyland.

Saturday we had a bonfire and spent the entire day playing and having fun at the beach. After a rough start to the day, which included a marathon in Corona del Mar that lead to an adult tantrum session (by a certain BFF) and a total change of plans, we ended up at Newport. The weather was beautiful (shall I run the risk of jinxing it….June gloom who!?).

We made grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch with our nifty grilled cheese maker.

We flew our kite too, and it was MUCH easier than last time (<--- click there).

Debbie came just in time for dinner (in true Debbie fashion), which was hot dogs (a bonfire must!). Here we all are after dinner…

Another bonfire must are s’mores. I used to not be such a fan, but recently tried them again and man they’re yummy!

Then we had some fun with my camera. They all wrote their names…

I, for some reason, could not do my name. I don’t know what my problem was! It took me a while to get my L to come out right :)

Then there was a guy selling glowy things, so we decided to buy one and have fun with that too.

It was a great day spent with good friends! <3
