Cruise ~ Cabo & Puerto Vallarta.

Back in October Amy said she wanted to go on a vacation...she suggested a cruise and we looked into it and decided we'd go when she had time off from work {Calvary}. Then one random day my mom went to church with us...and basically invited herself on our vacation since she had that week off too. Amy's mom wanted to go and they booked their cabin that week. It turned out that Amy got a real job and didn't have to take that specific week off...but it all worked out. We don't hate each other right now because we had our moms to drive us crazy instead of each other ;) I'm only half kidding....love you mom!

We left Sunday afternoon from Long Beach and had dinner at the restaurant on board.

And then watched the sunset.

Monday was spent being lazy and bundling up because it was COLD. To say I didn't pack appropriately is an understatement...lesson learned: bring warmer clothes on a cruise. Or just more clothes period. I'm used to living in a bathing suit on vacation. Moving on...

Tuesday we got up early to watch us come into Cabo.

Once we got off the ship, we shopped a little {okay a lot}. Darlene, Amy's mom, likes to shop. Then we went to the Mango Deck to have lunch.

Then we hung out on the beach for a little bit before we took a water taxi to the Arch.

Then we went back to the marina to catch the tender boat back to the ship.

Wednesday we were up bright and early to catch the first tender boat out so we could go on our snorkel cruise.

By the time we got back we didn't have time to do anything other than shop some more at the marina {I think Darlene could shop all day given the opportunity!}. That night we hung out and read.

Thursday we headed into Puerto Vallarta.

Once we got off the boat, we went to a resort nearby to hang out. The beach wasn't all that great....

But we still had a good time.

After that we went back to the ship to shower and change and then went on a private tour of the city. For $25 {each} we were shuttled around the city in our own van with a guide who took us to some great places we never would have seen or experienced. Like this view of the city...

Or this restaurant in the jungle....

Or this view of Los Arcos.

Then our tour guide took us to the beach where we did a little {more} shopping and watched a beautiful sunset.

The tour lasted 4 hours and was worth every penny. That night we had some dessert before we went and read for the rest of the night.

Friday was spent laying out by the pool for a little bit (it was cold, but tolerable) and then a whole lot of nothing. Walking around the boat...playing games...and reading.

Saturday was a repeat of Friday, but a little more fun because we were rocking a lot. We were rocking so much they drained the pool because it was splashing so much.

Saturday night we went to dinner at the restaurant on board one last time...and had some pretty delicious mac n cheese.

Sunday we ate breakfast and waited around to be let off the ship. We were home around 11:30 and I got a lot accomplished that day. Laundry. Cleaned. More laundry. I had a great time but I was glad to be home :)
